well this is weird but i am logged on under my moms account and when i right click on the norton icon on that task bar is says disable and usually i am on my name i did the same thing and it looks like it it is cut off or blocked off!it is hard to explain i can see the whit menu goes down farther but i cant go down to disable.Wat do i do about my account, soo i can see the disable?

Perhaps you should explain to your mom why you would like to temporarily disable Norton. Sounds like she has the 'key'.

lol well she is actually the adminstartor soo she is the only one who can disable it.I dont need to ask her lol soo i allready disabled it and the game still laggs.i have to say it isnt as bad but it still tends to lag.I cant think of ne thing else that could cause me to lagg.Do u think i should call my internet provider?Well ne ways respond when u can and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Ps: I doubt there is anything your ISP can do; unless they offer a faster service than the one you run. But seeing the other problems above I would check out some ideas found there.

Hi i play alot of fps games including CS maybe some of the things im gonna mention were maybe already in the previous links to CS forums but im too lazy to check them out so what the hell here goes maybe i might hit upon something youve not tried yet ?

1.Have you ran a virus scan recently?Even if Norton does not find anything try a free online scan like THIS ONE as it may find something Norton missed.

2.Reinstalled the game?

3.Ran a spyware check like Adaware or spybot search and destroy?

4.Updated all of your pc's drivers including the mobo?

5.When you last updated the Graphics card driver did you un-install the previous one first, if not this will cause real problems with performance.

6.Have you updated to latest version of direct x 9?

7.Has the hard drive been de-fragmented lately?

8.Try rolling back to an older graphics driver this sometimes works.

9.Tidy up the cables of your pc i had an issue not so long ago where my monitor lead was overlapping my phone line causing display issues...worth a try.

What you really have to think about is WHY has this suddenly happened, try to think back to the last thing you changed on your pc?

Well to be honest with ur bro i am like they say in Cs very nub when it come to computers not necesarily in the game but computers alone.lol would u mind like guiding me through some of the steps cuz,actually my cs is running alot better an it doesnt seem to be lagging as much in the game.Its quite weird that this jus has started happening cuz, b4 i never had ne promblems at all.And my comp got a virus but not reallly a virus where i had to clean my comp clean soo i thought this would make my comp a lot faster but yet here we are. Soo can u reply and tell me wat u think i should try first, cuz i can play how it is now but its really not where i would like it>SOo reply as soon as u can and thanks for ur time
