Unhappy Start menu/Open Folders above line

This is a problem which I cannot find the solution for anywhere and its really annoying.

I just completed a restore of Windows XP Professional.

All drivers and programs installed and configured and system is running very smoothly.

However, when I go to organise the icons in the Start Menu -> Programs, then one of the folders on this menu (e.g. Accessories, Startup or any program folder) and right click, choose 'Open' or 'Explore' or 'Explore All Users', nothing happens. No error message, Explorer doesn't open up, and the right click menu just closes.

Explorer works fine elsewhere and when I 'open' or 'explore' other folders using a right click menu option everything works fine. It just wont work in any folder I access in the "Start Menu". This goes for any user folder that I put in the "Start Menu"

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Andrew

This is a fix from kelly @ kellys korner:

"Right click the Start button, select Properties, Customize. Scroll through
the options on the Advanced tab and put the check mark back in Enable
    dragging and dropping.

If your right clicking abilities are more complexed, run this edit.

Enable or Disable the Right Click Context Menu (Line 56)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit."
