I have access to another modem but it's only 56k. All works fine when I use that modem. Just purchased this Zoom adsl modem as the one I had before kept dropping the connection. Now the connection is fine, I just can't access secure sites etc :-\

Really don't think it's anything to do with IE as the dialup works fine, must be a modem setting? Should also mention that I've also tried Netscape and Firefox browsers but get the same result.

Will try out that link and see what happens!

    Thanks,

Managed to source the problem. I had to set the MTU value in the TCP section of my PC's registry to 1400. Also set it to 1400 in the modem. Restarted the computer and all is working now!

    Thanks for the help,

    J
