On the school net work we are using XP Professional, and a few people keep sending messages to me and interupting my work, teachers dont care, so I was wondering if there was a way to block them, they go to RUN and then type in cmd and some other stuff, all the computers are connected so is there a way I can block them?

first off: your teachers should care!!!

what you are seeing is the internal messenger service which can be disabled.

do not know if you need administrator status or not ... anyway:

start > administrative tools > services > messenger : (right click) > properties > disable

if you cannot access this than bring it to the attention of your system administrator!

BTW: after SP2 this service will be Default Disabled....
