Programs won't open and freeze in Start menu.
Every time I try to open up a program in the Start menu its starts to load but doesn't come with anything and the computer goes really slowly and often freezes, where upon I have to use "End Task" or "End processor" with Alt-Control-Delete. The only program which does open is the Mozilla Firefox browser. Even the system tools, like the Control Panel utility, doesn't open either.
This has been an on-going issue for the last 4 or so months and it is getting somewhat annoying. I am currently performing a scan for spyware with Malwarebyte's Antimaleware.
I recently downloaded the latest version of iTunes but, again, the bugger won't open. It takes up about 99% of the CPU processor.
Any thoughts about correcting this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Melvis and Welcome.
This could be malware and since MBAM did detect some, let's make sure your system is completely clean. Please read this then start a new topic here.
