Extremely Slow Computer after several serious Viruses
I have had some pretty serious virus and malware problems over the course of a year or so, not constant but the average major ones that have poped up. Such as one, today, that makes your machine behave as if it has a serious problem. I believe that was called Windows Vista Updater, or something to the effect. I've recently been noticing a progressively slowing machine, on the internet and just browsing the files on the C: drive. When playing Rift (MMO) frame rates are in the teens even though I have recently bought a new video card, along with extremely high CPU usage when only one program is running. I have no clue where to start please help.

#. Scan for Malware-
Spyware and Malware in your computer are a big issue. They cause
many computers to run slow. The best way to prevent this is to
scan for malware in your computer.
If you bother to read what it says in the instructions, you`ll see that it says the
following.
If you`re not running any antivirus or firewall software, you should install some ASAP.
Download and install the free AVG or Avast antivirus programmes and either the free
Kerio or Comodo firewall programmes.
Install whichever firewall you chose, followed by whichever antivirus programme you chose.
Reboot your system the required number of times. Run the antivirus updates.
ONLY INSTALL THE ABOVE ANTIVIRUS/FIREWALL SOFTWARE, IF YOU DON`T ALREADY HAVE ANY ANTIVIRUS
OR FIREWALL SOFTWARE. More details
