until recently m,y system was responding normally. Programs opening at normal speed, websites opening in a blink.
About a week ago websites started taking forever to load and I really noted that abobe cs5 loading psd file took longer than usual. I did the usual, cleaned out temp files, cookies and ran ccleaner to no avail. sometimes when waiting on web sites ie stops responding than springs to life. The only thing odd I've noticed is a message on certain sites is a popup window regarding the divx log update.
system specs:
Hp 8120n
3g ram
nvidia gforce 9800 /1m
latest drivers
latest windows update
Below is a printout from hijack this. Any help will be greatly apreciated. TIA

Hey cyberwasp are you still experiencing system issues as noted above?
I recently did a clean install of windows. When I started loading drver for accessories, "Printer, webcam, tablet." with each drier the pc took longer to boot successively, something it never did before. Also, after it got to the desktop the hd didn't settle down for over 8 minutes, again something that used to take about 2 tops.
Have defragged, used ccleaner. even went to msconfig, disabled everything and rebooted, still slow. Its just got me puzzled and I've done clean installs o this machine and never noticed this behavior before.
"I recently did a clean install of windows."
Did you install Vista with an HP supplied media for that machine, or a "commercial" Vista OS media?
That machine is Intel based. (HP Pavilion Media Center TV m8120n PC (GC674AA) specifications - HP Home & Home Office Products) If the install media was not supplied with that machine, go here and install any missing drivers;
Intel Driver Update Utility
Added Note; It's important to get Chipset Drivers (Intel ® P965 Express Chipset) installed as soon as the OS install completes. Then proceed with other required drivers.

hey guys. did a bit of research and found a fix, although I don't know why or how it worked but my systems back to normal speedwise. I turned off superfetch!. From what I read about it, turning it off should be detrimental to system speed but it is just the oposite which I can't grasp, any ideas?
My machine came with Vista pre-loaded. It lasted two hours. I pulled out my XP Pro CD and blew it away. So I can't help further on this issue.
