    Re: dssenh.dll error

    Thanks for your help.
Is there an easier solution such as re-installing the Vista or upgrading to Windows 7? Please let me know.

    You surely can do it.
Do you have any Vista disks?

    Those disks won't do.
I was thinking about repairing Vista, but for that you'd need full version Vista DVD.

    Let's try something....

Download BlitzBlank and save it to your desktop.
    Double click on Blitzblank.exe

    • Click OK at the warning (and take note of it, this is a VERY powerful tool!).
    • Click the Script tab and copy/paste the following text there:

    Code:
    CopyFile:
    C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-d..ellman_software_csp_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.1 6386_none_39c1f98787f99c82\dssenh.dll C:\Windows\System32\dssenh.dll

    • Click Execute Now. Your computer will need to reboot in order to replace the files.
    • When done, post the report created by Blitzblank.
You can find it in the root of the drive, normally C:\

I see what's going on....this board glitch made a space in my script.
    Try again with this code:

    Code:
    CopyFile:
    C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-d..ellman_software_csp_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.16386_none_39c1f98787f99c82\dssenh.dll C:\Windows\System32\dssenh.dll

    Restart in Safe Mode.
    Navigate to:
    C:\Windows\System32

    Rename dssenh.dll file to dssenh.old

    Copy dssenh.dll
    file from:

    C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-d..ellman_software_csp_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.1 6386_none_39c1f98787f99c82

    and paste it to:

    C:\Windows\System32

    Restart computer.
