Locating files
My computer uses Vista Home Premium, 32-bit. One of the programs I use frequently is the CAD program 'Autosketch', made by the makers of AUTOCAD. Over the years I have accumulated hundreds of drawings, which I recently decided to organize into folders for ease of access. I figured the easiest way to do this would be to initially make folders on the desktop, go to the location of the drawings in the computer, then drag and drop the drawing files into the appropriate folder on the desktop. My problem is, I'm unable to locate the repository of all these files.
When I open Autosketch, click on File, then Open, I get an alphabetical listing of all my drawing files. If I right-click on any one of these files, then click on Properties, I get a path of "C:\Program Files\AutoSketch\Drawings". When I navigate in My Computer to this folder, none of my drawings are there, only samples of drawings that are part of the Autosketch basic program.
If I open Autosketch, click on File, then Open, then navigate upwards in the "Look in" dialog box, I end up in the same place.
If I select a drawing in the "Open" dialog box and drag it to a folder on the desktop (or just the desktop), I get a dialog box that states, "Could not find this item. This is no longer located in C:\Program Files\AutoSketch\Drawings. Verify the item's location and try again."
Finally, If I click on Start, then in the Start Search block, type in the name of any of my drawing files, then hover over the file name, I get the same path, "C:\Program Files\AutoSketch\Drawings".
Does anyone have any ideas on how to find the repository of my drawing files???
