I am trying to do a year-end back up my files to cd-r discs. I have a HP Pavilion dv7-135nr Entertainment Notebook PC using Windows Vista Home Premium 64-BIT Edition.
My problem is that when I insert a blank CD the drive continues to run without sending any type of message. I can only stop it from spinning and retrieve the disc by inserting a straightened paper clip in the little hole on the drive to open the CD drawer. Please offer a possible solution. Thanks!

when i get that its usually a duff disc,try a different make
