2 copies of Windows Vista, need to delete the one on C:

    Hi,
I had a copy of Windows Vista installed on my system which got corrupt. So I installed another copy of Widows Vista on the D drive. Now the 2nd copy is working fine but i need to delete the first copy of Windows from C Drive.
Tried just formatting C: as it is: Received the error "Unable to format the disk"
Tried deleting the Drive from Disk Management: Received the error "Windows cannot delete the active system partition on disk"
partitions' configurations: C:NTFS, System, Active, Primary Partition
D: NTFS, Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Logical Drive

    Kindly suggest.
    Thanks in advance

Also, I am unable to delete the Windows folder because i do not appropriate access.
I have removed the corrupt copy of Windows(in C from boot options,so it doesn't interrupt me while booting up.

I would remove the start up entry from the bootloader with EasyBCD & the reformat the drive. Please note that this program is for advanced user and should be used with caution because improper use could ruin your day.
