i have a dell inspiron 6400 with vista basic.
my laptop had a fall of about a foot, there was no external damage but when i tried to turn it on the screen was black. so i connected an external screen and windows would load, just after the loading bar on windows it would go black and say there was no signal. this happened roughly 2/3 months ago.
i figured i could run it in safe mode to use the screen and figure out what happened.
i found there was a hard disk problem but nothing that would justify the reason for screen failure.

Anyone got an answer?
