Have just had a call from my Daughter at Uni and she has a Dell Laptop, it is 13months old, she has major problems with it at the moment and she thinks she has lost all her work!

The screen she has up at the moment is saying 'Internal hard disk drive not found,' this has come up after she had a screen with F1,F2,F5 to do differetn things, she pressed F5 to run a diaonostic thingy and it came back with 'No problems found'

Does any of this make sense to anyone? Sorry if it's a bit vauge as she was telling me down the phone and was in a bit of a state!!

What should she do now?

hard drive error I guess.
check your BIOS and see if drive is detected. If not then it might really not working.
