I seen this many times before and I think it is really a smoke and mirrors thing. While it may allow 32-bit Windows to see and recognize more than 4, you cannot use more than 4 for any one program. 2^32 = 4,294,967,296 and you just cannot get around that math - the Laws of Physics get in the way.

I have seen no paper or any evidence to show improved performance after applying this patch. There are tons of reports of BSODs, system crashes, failing Windows Genuine Advantage and all sorts of other problems, however, that suggests it is just not worth it. If you want to use, and be able to address more than 4Gb, get a 64-bit OS.

but i assume by program its meaning for example you had 6gb ram it could allocate 3gb to a game and 3 gb to somthing else?

making the system faster, or am i misunderstanding that?

But they all run under 32-bit Windows. so while you have 3 and 3, you still can't jam them both through 4. At least that's my understanding.

I don't believe this but in fact I would stay away from it. Anything that modifies windows as such low a level should not be used unless it is from MS because they are the only ones will all of the source code and therefore they are the only ones who can modify it relatively safely. Digerati stated that there are numerous reports of instability.

In addition you don't know what that program does so for all you know it could include functions designed to spy on you. Consider yourself warned.

okey doke, thanks for your feedback

to my understanding the 3.2 includes video ram aswell so with a 1gb graphics card you actually only have 2.2 physical + 1 graphics?

for this reason i was interested in it, is this true or not?
