My operating system is Windows Vista SP2.

I purchased this headset about a month ago for skype usage and it worked fine with no problems. I recently had to install Ventrilo on my PC for online gaming and the headset worked for a day and now I receive all these error messages from windows and ventrilo.

Windows error comes in when I try to test the speaker sound in the playback option and it says failure to play test sound. I've updated the drivers and everything and it still doesn't work.

In Ventrilo, I get the rc = -10 error telling me that another program is using the headset.

I am now at a lost on what to do. I even tried to do a system restore point prior to the installation of Ventrilo and that even fails. I'm trying to avoid having to wipe my computer and reinstall everything just to get the headset to work. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
