Hi,

My son has a Toshiba Satellite L40 - 139 running Vista Home Premium

There have been several Windows updates over the last week & since Thursday (10/06/10) the laptop has been unable to connect wirelessly to the internet.

I have tried the Windows diagnostic tool but al that tells you to do is to flick the switch to turn on the wireless connection - this is already on but the indicator light is not lit.

I have also tried system restore to earlier dates but have not been able to restore to an earlier date.

Any suggestions / advice would be most appreciated to get the wireless connection up & running again.

Similar problems with connecting with talktalk router
Talktalk say they have taken me through all the set up steps
They say check card
But I think some sort of conflict with updates occurred and I need to Know how to reinstall drivers for atheros card

I have now got the connection back.

I went to the Toshiba website & downloaded the driver from there & this sorted the problem - hope this works for you.

My computer is a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo
Will try to find makers site tomorrow

Used Windows Help and support to go back to original drivers
Back to wireless connection at last !
