Hi all,

I have in irritating problem, not a show stopper, I have a Toshiba Satellite P100-216 laptop, with fully up-to-date Vista. Everytime I start up my laptop the sound isn't working, I open control panel, then device manager, then right click on my computer name and select "Scan for hardware changes" (only discovered this solves the problem after days of trial and error), the sound then miraculously bursts into life. But I shouldn't have to do this everytime I start my laptop should I?

Any suggestions gratefully received.
