    Trouble with Adobe Flash download

I tried to download Adobe Flash Player to look at a video. The Adobe Download Manager is stuck. The dialog box just stays on the screen with the green bar moving. I can't get rid of it. I'm running Vista and this is not happening on the Administrators side, but the second user side of Vista.

So I went to the admin side and installed the AFP. Thought this would help. The player works but the dialog box stays up on the second user side. The curser is also unstable on the second user side.

Anyone know what I can do to get rid of the dialog box??

Logging out of account should do. If not try restarting your computer. Then I would try the install after elevating the account to a full admin. If it still doesn't install UAC might be interrupting it so I would try to disable UAC. Be sure to enable UAC when you are done & revert the other account to a standard account if you don't want it to be a full admin.

    Thanks you Townsbg,

After reading your post I gave my husbands side of Vista "Administrator privileges" and then downloaded Adobe Flash again on his side. This time downloading it to his desktop and then installing. This finally brought up a dialog box that had me click on "shutdown download manager". This stopped the loop and solved the problem.

    Thanks so much.
