Crash
Ok so yesterday I restarted my computer, left the room & I come back to a blue screen: Driver_Power_State_Failure. After rebooting (which I had no trouble doing) I have windows debugging tools analyze the memory dump. It comes up with the probable cause the driver ntkrpamp.exe which I've never heard of. The mini dump says the same thing. Doing a google on the error an MS doc as well as other sites state the cause as a firewire device connected to the computer during boot up. The problem is that I don't have firewire. Solution is to install latest service pack. Other places say that a driver is messing up during a resume from sleep which also doesn't apply to me.
So does anyone have a clue (or even half a clue) because I don't???!!!! System information here. OS Vista SP 2.
Most recent software changes are photoshop & gimp. I did have a bunch of updates 3 days ago. No recent hardware changes.
