Greetings and Salutations,

For some reason my DVD/CD drive reads only blank media, if I try to insert a CD or DVD with content on it, my computer doesn't even recognize that there is a disc in the drive. I have Vista Home Premium (aka, the worst software Microsoft ever made). The DVD/CD drive is a HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H31N ATA. I have a couple of video and sound editing programs on my computer, including Roxio. I've read in other posts that this can cause players to stop working, but in those situations the players stopped working entirely. Any help would be great.

Since posting I've removed the burn programs from my machine with the exception of Roxio and Windows Media Player. My computer's DVD/CD drive still only recognizes blank DVD's and CD's.
