I'd like to completely clear everything off my hard drive and reinstall the originally software.I'm doing this so that I can donate my lap-top to charity.
Two questions please.
1) How do I do it ?
2) Will all my data be completely erased in case the laptop falls into the hands of a criminal.I know I'm being paranoid but the press does continually reports these things

Safest way isto run Kill Disk to wipe the hardrive completely. Then reinstall Windows.
