    Hi noob and welcome.

I am sorry be we are unable to help you with this problem. We have no way of knowing who you are, or if that notebook legitimately belongs to you. Notebook computers are easy targets for thieves and the first thing they need is to have the password cracked. So with good conscience, we cannot help you, and in fact, seeking help and providing help to bypass passwords (hacking computers) is against the D-A-L Rules and Terms of Service we all agree to when you registering here at D-A-L.

My advice it to take the notebook to a legitimate repair shop, with proof of ownership.

    Thanks Digerati,
fair enough answer but it is ligitemly mine
do you know how much it would cost me to bring it to a repair shop
also, would reinitialising my computer so that it starts over again help because i still have my discs

I have no doubt, especially since you have the disks too, as the typical request includes a comment that the dog ate the disks or they got lost in the move, or something similar.

Having your disks (assuming one is a bootable Vista install disk and not a recovery disk from the notebook maker), should make resetting a lost Vista admin password easier.

Some shops charge by the task, some by the hour - either way, it should not take more than one hour, if you end up taking it there. I would call around and ask.

After you get this resolved, and for those following, see Create a password reset disk - Windows Vista Help.

BTW - If you do take it to a shop - since there anyway - I would urge you to have them open the notebook and give it a professional cleaning to remove all the heat trapping dust drawn in by the fan. Sadly, unlike PCs with removable side panels, the proprietary nature of notebooks makes exposing the notebook's internals for a thorough cleaning a real challenge, nearly impossible for normal users. They have the tools and experience working with notebooks - and liability insurance if they break it.

Do you think i'll lose any files?

You shouldn't. But things can go wrong. If recovering the data is paramount, I recommend pulling the drive and temporarily attaching it to (via an enclosure) or installing it in another computer as a secondary drive (not the boot drive) and copy your data files over to another drive.
