okay so i bought a new mic and it worked fine .. i have a pc and a laptop .. so i wanted to call my friends on skype ... so i connected the mic and the mic works fine in recording .. but when i try to talk in skype .. my friend can hear me but says the quality is horrible .. and when i tried the mic on the laptop (xp) ... he said the quality is amazing .. but when i am back to pc ... quality is horrible ... so on pc (vista) quality is horrible on laptop (xp) its amazing ... ..... how can i make the microphone quality better on pc ?? and could this be a motherboard or another hardware problem ??

please help
