    Angry Getting wireless!!

HI! Before I start I need to tell you I am a total dimwit when it comes to anything pC related so please be gentle with me!!
I am using windows Vista home basic and have purchased a BT wireless USB adaptor to make my PC wireless enabled, the CD rom which came with it which you need to load it was not Vista compatible so I downloaded the correct driver from someone elses computer and put it on a disc , The adaptor is plugged in and the software is installed and I can see the strength signal thingy on my task bar but when I try to connect my Wii to the wireless port it gives an error message and will not let me go any further. IT IS DRIVING ME INSANE!!! I know this is long winded but I need your help before i combust! Thanks .

    Ello ,

I had similar problems with my " G " network 20mb connection from virginmedia . I upgraded to the 50 mb connection " N " network and still have set my personal network . Make sure the computer workgroup names match or else nothing will read . Alternatively set a direct connection to the Router using the IP settings 192.168.1.1 - this provides all passwords etc for Router access . File sharing is simple from there .

Hope that's helpful - if you need any elaboration just ask

Hi and thanks for your reply, however, I think you under estimate just how thick I am! I have no idea if anything you said made any sense (no offence, I am stoopid)! Anyway, It seems each time I switch on my computer the wireless needs to be re connected, is this normal? CLUELESS!
Laymans terms would be of great help! I just want my computer to be wireless and for the Wii to connect to it, Surely it can't be this difficult???!:

It may help you more and help forum members if you post exactly what error message says. Also post exact make and model number of USB wireless adaptor also. I run Linux and not Windows so that is as far as I can help you there. Good luck with it.
