hi
i tried to turn my laptop on and the screen saying i didnt shut it down properly came up, prompting me to start windows in safe mode, normally etc.
i have tried to start it in safe mode, and a list of drivers comes u as if its trying to load but then freezes. again in normal mode the green bar comes up to show its trying to load but then stays on screen and nothin happens.
anyone got a cue how to get ast this? i have all the original cds that came with the laptop if thats any help.

When you go into safe mode what is the last driver that it lists? Have you tried last known good configuration? What is your system information? How old is it?

the last listed driver is crc something. iv tried it in last good configuration and the same thing happens - the green loading bar comes on the bottom of the screen and stays on there. the laptop is only just over a year old. i bought it in june of last year so its only about 2 weeks out of manufactuers warrnty which is sooo annoying!
i have had problems with it deleting drivers before, as it deleted the cd rom driver and i had it sent back to dell to reinstall it. do u think this could be a problem again, with a different driver of course?

What do you mean that it deleted the cd rom driver? I don't yet have enough info to determine what the problem is. I need to know the exact file that it stops at. I also need to know your system information. Please answer the questions below.
