Lots of information so I will make this as simple and short as possible =)

I play a private runescape server, you have to download a client in order to play, the client uses java to run, it opens fine and i am able log in and play for about 5 seconds before the entire application closes without a trace, every time this happens an error report is created in the client file. I have tried 3 different client versions, all with the same results.

I do have the most recent version of java, just got it from the java website, Version 6 Update 14.

My computer info is:

Windows Vista Ultimate
Service Pack 1

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.02 GHz

3.00 GB ram

64-bit Operating System

I have the regular version of Java and the 64-bit version of Java, Both are required to run Java on Mozilla, as well as on the desktop. I have tried both one and the other, no difference if I have both installed.

I'm sorry but we're mostly just volunteers here. A good rule of thumb is 24 hours.

Anyway did this happen before you installed the latest version of java? Has it ever worked? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling java? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client? If it worked until recently what changes to your system have you made? Have you tried a system restore?

Well thank you for responding, and yes, I have reinstalled everything multilple times, java, clients, any new programs, nothing seems to work. I still get the same error message.

Are your game clients compatible with a 64 bit OS? Has it ever worked on that computer? Is the game compatible with a 64 bit system?

yes they should be compatible, i have actually talked to the creators on msn, the first time it worked for about 10 minutes, since then it last for 5 seconds then closes on me.

Well then sorry but I don't know what to tell you as I am unfamiliar with what you are doing. Perhaps someone else here knows but I recommend that you try a forum that specializes in the programs that you are trying to run. I suspect that running on a 32 bit system might be better. Good luck.
