I'm relatively new to using vista as there were too many compatability issues with some of the older pc games I used to play , so basically I stuck with XP . I've found trying to use certain DoS commands in vista won't work , such as the " %temp% " command . I've tried running CP in Adminstrative mode but get " invalid command or batch file " error message . Obviously I like to keep my pc's running at optimal performance and prefer all temp files , etc , deleted .

I am right in thinking I'm using the correct DoS command or is it different for vista ??

Download Temp File Cleaner (TFC)
Double click on TFC.exe to run the program.
Click on Start button to begin cleaning process.
TFC will close all running programs, and it may ask you to restart computer.

Not had this pc running long after a clean install and TFC managed to get rid of 1.5 gig of temp files .

Wow!. Yeah, this is, I think, the most thorough utility to get rid of temps.
