Hi guys I have a HP laptop and when I turn it on all the lights go on (power light, volume, touch controls on top) but the screen is dead and the computer makes a sound from the HD and thats it. I can even load into the BIOS, and when I hooked up another screen that too has no activity. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

My point here is that HP has many interactive trouble shooting guides but in the first place you need your exact model to enter into the process.

Once you are in the process you will see such topics as: "My computer does not start" or "Windows does not load" etc.

The troubleshooter will guide you through steps to try and resolve or refine your particular issue.

Just to clarify: Your computer will or will not go into bios? Do you get anything on the screen at all?
