Re: Brand new laptop! A few problems though... :(

If Arsonistx uses your supplied "Dell Drivers and Downloads" link...
    - Then click on the "Enter a Tag" button (the middle one)
    - In the next window input the Laptops "Service Tag" number, which will be on the bottom of the Laptop, into the "Enter a Service Tag" window then click "Go " button...
This will take Arsonistx the all the drivers and downloads available for their Laptop. There are other links on the page for Manuals and such. They just need to know what is install on their Laptop. Usually on the left-hand side of window there is a list of Categories they can choose such as "My Systems List" or "System Configuration".

Yes. Thanks. That is the process I usually try to assist in.

In many cases bringing up the driver page leads to all sorts of FAQs and service manuals.

I just noted that using the Model Selector one chooses Laptop/Studio one gets a list of models:

Anyway since we've taken this around the block have you ever heard of issues like the Taskbar corruption?

As this is brand new my first reaction is he should call Dell.

Hopefully it is not a deeper issue.

Sorry jephree...misunderstood. I see what you mean...1735 and 1737 models. I checked around and found...
difference between the 1735 and the 1737 - Notebook Forums and Laptop Discussion

I do agree that if this issue persists he should call Dell as he will have Warranty.
