a question of security
Now that many have laptops, netbooks, etc, and using public wireless networks - e.g. airports, hotels how should you set up your pc to avoid someone getting access.
For example, I have a small home network with three pcs - desktop, laptop, and netbook.
I see all the drives/data on all the machines using share, by setting access to group everyone having full privs.
If I am out, and use a public network can other see my data because I have share set to everyone?

Go to control panel, network and security center. Now on the network entry for your wireless adapter click on customize. Chose private as the location type and then click next. Either click yes to approve the changes if prompted or provide an administrative password if your account isn't an administrator. It will prompt you for the password if you aren't an administrator. Now you should have your security settings as you want. In addition you can install the zone alarm free firewall for extra security.
