    Unhappy help with laptop

Can anyone help please- I have a toshiba laptop using vista home premiuim that wont let me use the flash player in internet explorer. It used to- but now doesn't connect it. When I use firefox it works on some pages but not on others. I have tried uninstalling it & re-installing it but to no avail. Also when I try to download it - it says its completed but when you look its actually only downloaded part of the file.
Also - not sure if its connected but it says I have used a lot of the memory on the laptop- but have actually not used very much- I have tried a clean up programme but was wondering if stuff could may be stored somewhere I wasn't aware of.

any help would be very grateful

Is this the method you used?

    Flash Un/Reinstall
    --------------------------------------------------
Uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control:

How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control

    Reinstall it:

    Adobe - Adobe Flash Player

As to the memory error: what is the verbatim error message?

    Thanks for the reply.

I had tried the method you mentioned & have done so again today unfortunately in IE when I try the flash installer by clicking the install button the screen waits for a few seconds & then reverts back to the same screen again. I downloaded the installer files (IE & firefox) from elsewhere on my PC & copied the installer onto the laptop this seems to work ok for Firefox (for some but not all sites) but not for IE.
As flash had been working previously in IE I tried a sytem restore but was not able to do so & also tried downloading IE8 but to no avail
With regard to the memory there is no error message there just seems to be a lot of space taken up - the laptop is my sons & he only has a limited amount of pictures, music files & a few games saved, it is split into 2 drives Vista 23.9 GB of 55.8 GB free & Data 54.2 GB of 54.4GB free

Any further advice / suggestions would be most appreciated

I have now installed Google Chrome & everything appears to be working when I use this as the default browser.
