    Angry SLI with Vista ?

I have been trying all day to get my 2X nVidia 8500gt 512mb video cards to work in sli mode with no sucess. I have tried updating everything and even using older drivers on the motherboard and videocards. I even went as far as to flash my bios to the most current version. The bios is suppose to auto-detect SLI mode, but fails to do that. It doest even work when i set it on Dual graphic cards.
As far as i can tell, with 8500gt's i dont need the SLI connector (and yes i've tried both ways). The drivers are failing to load for the second card and it says

"This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."

Here's what i got for hardware. (everything is SLI-ready as far as I know)

    Asus M2N-E SLI
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
    2X BFG nVidia Geforce 8500gt 512
    650w Sli ready PSU
    2X2g ddr2 twin2x pc6400
    sata 250g 7200rpm

I was playing around with it this morning and finally got it to work.. (tried about 5 different bios versions) eventually one worked.. THis was definantly the cause if anyone has this problem ever.

On a side note, i get better fps in most cases with sli disabled then enabled. I know i have the lowest end 8 series geforce cards, but surely sli should work better then a single g-card.

Oh well it works. how this thread ends up helping someone.
