I gues this is old age kicking in, but everytime I have to reformat and reload windows, the first thing I install are my VIA x64 chipset drivers. Problem is, and because they are x64 bit. I always forget, if I should extract the Zip file and install it from the x32 Program Files or the x64 Program Files.

Such drivers tend to have the ability to go where they please (or need to).

Extracting from a .zip file?

I'd suggest downloading from the computer manufacturer or the motherboard manufacturer.

Even if this download is a .zip it should unzip into a Setup.exe which as said should find its own way to where it needs be.
