vista file explorer question

    vista file explorer question

    in xp when i was in windows explorer i could use the keypad to scroll through the file folders on the DIR tree and xp would show you the files in the folder in the right pane. now in vista i pass over the folder but I have to click the folder to open it. any ideas on how to get vista to open the folder as I scroll down the directory tree?

    Even your XP example was only available in the "Classic" ('98) mode.

    You can set Vista back to classic as well as seen here:

    You need to change the "Folders View" to "Classic".
