i got a nice little hdtv i want to use as a computer screen but dont knwo how to hook it up. i got the tv or,on the tv it says DVI-D and on my comp it says, DVI, i got the cord pluged it into both things and got nothing, so i am wondering what eles ei need to get it to work

Do you have a graphics card which is high definition?
If so, you need a HD cable from the Graphics card into the tv.

sounds like you need a DVI cable that is a DVI-D (digital) or a DVI-I (analog/digital signals). Maybe your cable is a DVI-A, which is why it isn't working. Be sure to note the male/female fittings on the side of the monitor. Coming out of your graphics card you will need a male cable. May sound stupid, but always double check all connections to make sure they are seated correctly.
