I frequent a message board system and I have been having a problem viewing the avatars. I also notice that I also see the same on this board so it can't be the message board system's fault, it has to be mine.

This laptop I am on is a fairly new one and I have made no changes to it at all.

My res is 1280 x 800 (which is the max)

My colour is set at 32 bits (also the highest setting)

I use both Firefox and IE7

y cache and cookies are cleaned out daily.

Now, the problem is this. I can view all images perfectly but the avatars (well, on my system) are taken from the thumbnails. I just can't view any thumbnails at all properly. I can see the image but they are terribly pitted.

I'm going to try to add an image here to show you what I mean. Never having uploaded an image on your board I'm not sure until I post this if I will do it correctly but here goes.



The first image is of the avatars (thumbnail) the others are of other various ways of uploading and image such as direct from our systems image hosting, Photobucket etc.

You see that I can see all of the last 3 perfectly but the first is very pitted. This is how I also see the avatars on your board.

Any suggestions why I see thumbnails like this.
