I recently bought a new 750g sata2 Samsung hard drive, however whenever I attempt to copy files to it after approximately 300mb my computer freezes and after about 3 min un-freezes saying that the drive can’t be found (or gives me a blue screen of death) and I can no longer access the drive it at all until I restart the computer, for files under about 300mb however it works fine. The really annoying thing is that it works perfectly on windows XP which rules out a problem with the drive itself also there is no problems copying from this new drive to any of my others. I originally had problems formatting the drive and was forced to format it using windows XP but I used a simple layout of basic type and NTFS File System so there shouldn’t be any problems. I am using the vista default disk manager and have completely updated Vista Home Premium with all optional updates, any help would be appreciated,
Cheers
