Question Can I (if so how) remove IE7 and totally reload it?

I have an HP computer with vista home premium, having some issues with IE7, browswer just not working right, visiting sites I can't scroll down on right side (takes forever for it to respond) and if I click around the page loads fast but I have long times of it being unresponsive, can't scroll down, can't click stuff etc and lastly for some odd reason i get blank popup ie7 windows often while visiting other basic pages like craigslist or ebay etc.

I have run adaware spybot and avg antivirus all till I was blue in the face, mostly just tracking cookies found, also ran a hijack this log & posted it here, got reply of another program to run (did that and posted replies) but still having trouble with IE7 use.

This hp has the OS on a small recovery partition, I don't have a physical Vista disc but i did create the HP recovery disc set when I first booted up the machine.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to remove ie7 and reinstall it, hoping that fixes my few issues since the hijack this log didn't seem to give any clear answers and its just acting really buggy.

You cannot remove IE7 from Vista. It is the base IE for Vista and as with all previous Windows versions the Base IE is integrated and integral to the operating system.

In XP it is IE6 for example.

Again as it is an integral component the repair is a reinstall of the operating system if other minor fixes fail.

You can always try Firefox just to determine if the problems are actually IE specific.

Another option...Tools>Internet Tools>Advanced tab. Click Reset button.
