every time I start my computer after log-in to windows vista I get this error message "c:\\windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\LXCFtim e.dll missing entry:runDLLEntry"
What does it mean and what do I need to do to correct it please.

This file looks as though it is a Lexmark printer driver, are you having any problems with your printer?

No, the printer is working fine, I did install it via the cd which came with it but then had to upgrade the driver to be compatible with vista so maybe that`s what the problem is?

It doesn't look to me like a legit file.
Check, if you actually have LXCFtim e.dll file in c:\\windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\ folder (make sure to enable hidden files).

I thought I would Google the error message and guess what Google brought me back to this thread.

we now know that it`s a printer driver problem.
I uninstalled the printer, the message was gone.
I reinstalled it and then downloaded the new driver for windows vista, the printer works fine but the error message is back.
Don`t know what else to do now.

Why don't you install the driver right from the Lexmark website without first installing from the CD?

Have you tried to do a windows update to see if there are any updates for your printer?

i have had exactly the same problem. Lexmark 730 series printer, windows vista, downloaded the driver from the lexmark site, no problems with using the printer, but this annoying error message. I have tried the lexmark FAQ and there is nomention - any ideas?
