Hi,
I have been trying to playback some of my videos I have made on my digital camera. I have windows media player 11 and windows vista as I have a new laptop. My very out of date old computer would playback with sound but with this new player it keeps telling me I have a codec missing.
0010-8000-00aa00389b71 codec not installed.
It asks me to try to download from windows but it says they don't have it and to be careful when downloading from anywhere else. Can you offer me any advice about where I could download this from. The audio works with everything else just not my camera videos.
Is there an older media player that I should use as well as 11 just for that?

Even though you're using WMP11, if it applies to your situation, it may be blocking the download of new codecs.

Often things on digi cameras are saved in .MOV which needs quicktime...
