I am in Australia spending time with a friend. She just added high speed internet in the house from a company called Optis. The installer put in a modem and connected it to a DI-524 Wireless Router.

Both my laptop and her laptop are able to have access to the net but we feel there is nothing keeping any close houses from also sharing her signal. We have tried to no avail to understand the documentation that came with the link.

Can someone please tell us in simple terms how to set up some security?

if you go into your web browser and type "192.168.2.1" then hit enter this should be the ip address of the router if you have a sperate modem the the wireless ip address might be "192.168.2.2 when this comes up it should gome up with a men and there should be a tab called secrity click on it and you should be able to set it up
