Hello all, my computer has a dual dvi msi 8600 nvidia graphics card, no overclocking no gaming, straight out basic computer functions only.

My vista is home premium and I am having 2 major quirks I am hoping to find more info about.

First since moving from xp pro to vista, (this hp m7760n had vista already) when I say moving I mean from old pc to this new pc.

When going from xp pro to vista home premium, i noticed one weird thing, in vista when I make folders and put them on my desktop they seem to have minds of their own, they move all over the desktop at will, I put them on right screen top center and as I am working and go back to desktop i see them moved to left screen under my computer, stuff like that, how do I get folders to STAY where I put them? I have it set to align to grid but not auto arrange, so in theory they "should" stay in place but they don't....

Second, for some weird reason I can't figure out why my menu bars go black on me, i go to tool menu and the pull down as I move my mouse i see the menu bar turn black at times, id say it happens 1 out of 5 times that I do this.

I also notice everything flickers black for a second on some websites I go to, but after that initial flicker of black things seem to be fine, almost like its changing resolutions or something (altho it isnt).

Any ideas what I can check try or do to fix either of these issues?

Never had problems like this within my xp machine but hopefully both are just quirks I can find simiple solutions for.

I forgot to mention when this happens (the black brief issue) sometimes I can get it to happen when viewing certain sites, i get a popup that says "click to run active x control on this page" and when I do briefly the page goes black then pops back up and works.

I quick got a pic of it to show what happens if this helps or not...
