Wondered if anyone has more info as to when the official sp1 for vista will be out?

Also i like the sidebar feature, but cant seem to find one for cpu temps, is there one out there from some 3rd party I am not finding in google that someone uses and loves?

I do have a core 2 and ram monitor and thats nice but a temp monitor in sidebar would be even better.

I do know about speedfan motherboard monitor etc, just was hoping there is a nice sidebar cpu temp app.

The Release Candidate SP1 was issued earlier this month.

The Final is scheduled for January release.

Thanks for the replies, so i guess a vista sidebar temp monitor isn't floating around that I am missing at least not yet...

Hoping sp1 will help fix some of the sluggish responses of vista I have experienced lately, tried defrag, rebooting etc but things are just running slow (taking a while to even open folders etc).

Have you checked for spyware, often when a PC becomes very sluggish it is spyware that is causing it. Also what can cause sluggish running in Vista is the amount of software that is running in the background this is because Vista uses a lot of system resource's and so depending on how much RAM you have (I would recommend 1 gig or more) if you have software running in the background as well this may slow the system even the side bar is using extra resources, also some internet security software are heavy on resourses, Norton especialy so.
