Hi, I did not know where to put this question, but here goes, my friend just bought a new hp/compaq desktop with a 19inch monitor.
Now the Monitor has a volume control right on it and i had to turn it all the way up in order for the over sound to rise, it was very low after installing it!
Now after doing this, the sound was much better, but it does not seem loud when turned all the way up like on a CRT monitor (which blares)
Is this normal with LCD Monitors, we want to make sure there is nothing wrong with it? My brother told me his two neighbors use external speakers because they thought theres were not loud enough either. Any one have thoughts on this? Thanks

You need external, selfpowered speakers.
