Blue Screen IRQL Less or Not Equal
Hi I was wondering if someone might be able to offer me some advice. I purchased a new laptop (Acer Aspire 5570Z) in mid-September and things were ok for a few weeks until Vista started blue screening almost two times a day every day. Blue screen occurances have significantly lessened, maybe once every week or so, but still once is too much. The error message I always get is IRQL Not Less or Equal. I mainly use my computer to search internet/check email and take notes/draft documents in Word. It never blue screens when I'm using the internet. I've tried using a different Word processor, it still blue screened, it's also blue screened went I'm not even using Word. I believe all my drivers are up to date (at least Microsoft Update tells me so!).
I'm a bit of a newbie so if the info I've provided so far isn't detailed enough please let me know. I'd really like to put an end to the Blue Screen of Death.
Thanks!

Follow the instructions at the end of this post:

Install the debugging tools and post back some logs.

Hi. I installed both programs however and changed the few things the instructions asked me to (my computer was already set to kernal memory dump). However, when I searched I had no .dmp or minidump files so I couldn't run the programs. Any suggestions as to what I should try next?
Thanks.

Hmmm ... my post was geared towards XP but I thought Vista would be the same.
Perhaps not.
See if the ideas in this link finds any dump logs:
