Hi, newbie here!
I have a Labtec Mic. I have used it on my other laptop (running XP) now I am trying to use it on the new laptop (running Vista) This laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1501. I cannot get this computer to pickup any noises on the mic, except if I blow really hard into it (not much lights up though, barely noticed). I can't seem to find anything to help me out, any suggestions?

go to start>control panel double click on "sound" (icon of speaker). On the open window click on the middle tab "Recording" doble click on microphone then click on "Levels" tab. Click and hold on slider and take to far right (100) then click on OK at bottom then on OK again then close control panel and try the microphone again. It should now be OK
