    Remove Vista:

Hello ! Have a great day.

Sir, I have partitioned my hard disk into 5 drives. I have installed XP in the 1st drive and Vista in the 2nd. I mostly use Xp. My system is runs slowly. So, I want to remove Vista and its related files completely to free the 2nd drive. How can I wipe out these contents. Please help me.

    Thanks 2 u.

    Many ways to do that.

One is boot into XP and go to Disk Management:

Right click My Computer then click Manage then Disk Management.

Then right click on the drive (partition) which holds Vista and choose Format...

If for any reason XP refuses to do it then use GParted.

    Instructions:

Note that after formatting the Vista partition you will have a blank partition.

XP cannot expand into that partition by itself.

You would need GParted (or any partition manager) for that to happen.

You should also back up any important data on the XP partition before trying anything like this as there is always a chance of data loss and always a possibility of having to reinstall XP.
