    Uninstall Vista

    Hai! Good day!

I had intstalled Win-xp in one drive and Vista in other. Now, I want to uninstall Vista completely from my pc, without disturbing xp files. Next I would like to install Linux in the same drive after removing Vista, so that I can use Win-xp & Linux as per the req. Is Linux a freeware? Can we use as said above. Please give me the inst to remove Vista and install Linux properly.

    Waiting for ur reply.

    Thank u!

If you mean two separate hard drives then you can format the Vista drive then install Linux or whatever.

Depends on the "Distro". Some are and some are not.

Yes. You will have a "dual-boot" system. You may need a "Boot Manager" if your BIOS does not provide one.

    Many ways to do that.

One is boot into XP and go to Disk Management:

Right click My Computer then click Manage then Disk Management.

Then right click on the drive which holds Vista and choose Format...

If for any reason XP refuses to do it then use GParted.
