I bought a new e-machine (Windows vista), about 3 weeks ago. I tried getting on espn.com to watch the baseball scoreboard, which should automatically update, (the page says, auto update: connected /No page reloads needed), like it did on my roommates antique computer many of times with no problems getting it to constantly updating whats going on in the games, without having to push the refresh button, which I thought I had to do. Come to find out, if I get on the scoreboard , and let it sit without refreshing it, it will start updating about 20 minutes later. Within about 5 to 10 minutes from there, it will catch up and start updating correctly, as long as I don't refresh it, then it will not work again for 20 minutes.
I talked to 4 different emachine techs, first one told me I didn't have enough memory (512 mb), so I added a full gig, still doesn't work right. The next 2 techs said they didn't know what could be the problem. The fouth one told me my computer didn't like baseball she guessed, because I forgot to mention, that the espn N.F.L. scoreboard works right away on this computer. ???? Also, the A.O.L. baseball scoreboard doesn't work at all on this computer, and it also has an automatic update on their page.
Any chance there is a very smart computer wizard out there, that can figure out this problem. Is it a setting in the computer, and if it is, why does the football scoreboard work right away? I know it's not the webpage from espn, because the fourth emachine tech I talked to, got on two different computers (1 emachine and 1 gateway), and said that the page was automatically updating on both of those computers, while I was watching my computer do nothing.
Can somebody help me out please.

I am using both Internet explorer and Modzilla, with both flash and java installed.
