I have just upgraded my pc with a motherboard bundle . Have installed vista ultimate that I was running on my old motherboard bundle I went to activate it and i get
"The product key is already in use" do i want to purchase another one ?

any ideas??

Are you saying you replaced the motherboard?

If so you should be able to move Vista just this once. You probably have to phone up a human being at Microsoft in order to do this.

This is the only such change you can make as per Vista's EULA:

Whereas with XP you could move the operating system an unlimited number of times (as long as only one computer was using it at a given time) this was changed with Vista where you can only make one such change.

As I change motherboards quite often this is the main reason I would not use Vista.
